The Thrive Approach

We know that children learn best in school when they are happy and settled.

At Orchard Manor we are using the Thrive Approach to help us develop all our pupil’s emotional and social wellbeing.  Thrive helps us to check pupil’s readiness to learn, to identify any gaps and then to plan to meet them.  In this way we make sure that all our pupils’ have what they need to make the best progress in their learning.

Thrive screening is used to baseline assess all pupils within class or work groups.  The results help inform the planning of our social and emotional curriculum and the development of action plans for individual pupils.  This ensures that all adults working with pupils understand their individual needs and are able to meet these most effectively.
