Orchard Manor School Maintains ‘Outstanding’ Residential Provision in Latest Inspection

Last term we had the Ofsted team here to have a look at our Residential Provision.
We are thrilled to say that we have been given the rating of OUTSTANDING!
Orchard Manor School, part of the Special Partnership Trust, is celebrating the continued success of its residential provision following its most recent inspection by social care inspectors which took place from 10th to 12th June 2025.
The school has once again been judged ‘Outstanding’, maintaining the highest possible rating since its previous inspection on 16 July 2024.
Orchard Manor School provides specialist education and care for 220 children aged 3 to 19, including weekly residential care for up to 20 children. The school focuses on supporting children with complex communication and interaction difficulties, autism, and learning difficulties.
Inspectors highlighted the exceptional progress children have continued to make since the last inspection, noting the stable and consistent staff team as a key factor in delivering high-quality care. Staff were praised for their high aspirations for the children and their ability to provide excellent opportunities for personal development and success.
The strong level of consistent support that children receive from the staff really helps them reach their full potential,” inspectors noted. “Children benefit from integrated targets across care and school environments, ensuring a seamless experience that supports their ongoing learning and development.
The report also emphasised outstanding communication between staff and professionals involved in each child’s care. One professional shared:
I would like to praise the team and the residential manager for everything they have done for the young person. They have been amazing in their support of them, going above and beyond their remit and advocating for the child’s needs to be met.
The staff team was commended for their skill, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to the children. The consistent and caring environment created by the residential team continues to play a vital role in the lives of Orchard Manor pupils.
