Part-Time Cleaner Vacancy(ies)

We have a vacancy for a Cleaner.  The successful candidate will provide a professional and customer-friendly service to students and staff at the school Monday to Friday, 41 weeks per annum.

(10 hours per week)  £5,936 actual pay
(20 hours per week) £11,872 actual pay 
Working hours:  Monday to Friday  2 x 10 hours per week or 20 hours per week for 41 weeks per annum,
Closing Date:  4 September 2025
Interview Date:   11 September 2025  

This post requires cleaning in school classrooms and buildings during the school day. 

Hours will be:

10 Hours per week - 6:30am to 8:30am Monday to Friday

20 Hours per week - 6:30am to 10:30 am Monday to Friday

You will be required to work alongside other members of the cleaning team.  See the attached job description for full detail of the post.

The role includes :-

  • Being responsible for a set of keys and for ensuring the security and integrity of areas of cleaning
  • Maintaining the school environment; deep cleaning carpeted and non-carpeted areas, soft furnishings; fixtures and fittings; windows and walls; maintaining storage areas
  • Complying with COSHH regulations
  • Working in all areas of the school site. There may be a need to lift and move heavy items of equipment. The job holder will need to risk assess whether heavier items can be moved without the aid of another person or additional aids 

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken and written aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
