Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We require a HLTA, to provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. Working hours: 32.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per annum.  You will be working under the guidance of the teaching staff and Head of School within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This will involve managing and preparing resources, and supervising/teaching whole classes on a regular basis. To respond to questions and assist pupils in undertaking set activities when fulfilling this supervisory role.

Experience of working with children who have autism or complex needs would be an advantage.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken and written aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Salary: Grade E Scale Point 16-22 £24,012-£27,041 pro rata (Actual Salary £17,982 - £20,251)
